About Me

I believe there are a lot of hard-working, capable people who simply don't know which steps they need to take to reach their career goals.

I know that because I struggled with the process myself. I made mistakes, learned from them, adjusted my approach, and eventually figured out what worked.

I'm a strong believer that guidance from someone with relevant experience can reveal gaps you didn't even know were there - whether that's how you position your CV, approach applications, prepare for interviews, or decide what to prioritise.

Universities do a great job of educating students academically, but there often isn't enough focus on how to actually navigate the job market. As a result, highly capable students can graduate with strong grades and still struggle to secure opportunities.

The job market is challenging, and asking for guidance can make a real difference. My goal is to help people understand what to improve, what to focus on, and how to approach the process with much more clarity and confidence.

How I Work

My Approach

My goal isn't simply to give you a list of things to change. I want to understand where you are today, identify the gaps that may be holding you back, and work with you to improve them.

That could mean strengthening your CV, improving how you approach applications, becoming more confident in interviews, changing how you position your experience, or simply getting much clearer on what your next steps should be.

Ultimately, I want to increase your chances of reaching the career goals you're aiming for.

For some people, that might mean a single session that gives them the clarity they were missing. For others, ongoing mentoring can be more effective because it allows me to understand their goals, track progress, identify patterns over time, and give advice that is much more tailored.

One-off sessions are welcome - but ongoing mentoring is often more effective, since it allows me to understand you better and track progress over time.

Before the session

  • Current CV
  • Target roles
  • Short overview of your background
  • Previous applications / interviews
  • What you're struggling with
  • Short- and long-term career goals

During the session

  • Practical discussion
  • Verbal feedback
  • Identification of gaps
  • Advice tailored to your goals
  • Interview, application or career strategy - depending on need

After the session

  • Clear verbal feedback
  • Specific action items
  • Session meeting notes
  • Follow-up questions welcome
